Saturday, February 22nd

Back to Harrimans for breakfast this morning. The 'Tofu Scramble' $12 Vine Ripened Tomatoes, Green Onions, Tempeh Bacon (Sausage?) and Roasted Potatoes with a Roasted Tomato were fantastic as always. How can the food be so good, yet the service so bad?
A Salad from Wegman's Salad Bar for lunch...
An Oven Roasted Tofurky Sandwich for Dinner. They're not readily visible, but I had so many Olives in my Salad, I didn't want anymore with my Sandwich...
An Eli's Celebrate Bar for dessert...
Where to tomorrow? No idea.

The roasted tomato with breakfast sounds really good - I always have dreams of making a vegan full English breakfast, with baked beans, roasted tomatoes, and mushrooms, etc. And some good strong tea, I'd assume. Do you drink any caffeine at all anymore? I love coffee but could stand to cut back.

Yummy! I need a great scramble in my life. One preferably not made by me, and with a new side! Like tempeh bacon sausage.

I've had a few olives lately, nice and salty.

P.S. Let's all go to Maud's for a vegan full English. . .

Well, awesome food and not awesome service is better than crap food with great service....right? Those tomatoes do look amazing. No such thing as too many olives in a day.
The gorgeous swirly bread is back! And with some fancy folded faux meats too!
That dessert looks wonderful-and somehow cutting it on an angle makes it fancy too ;)

It was so nice here today i went biking everywhere and even got a smoothie! No gloves either! The whole city felt upbeat and in a better mood....

It's a shame that the service is so terrible but at least you had an incredible meal to make up for it. The scramble looks delicious and I love the roasted tomato that comes with it. What a great looking meal. The salad is really pretty and colorful and the sandwich looks yummy. You should keep some pickles around to enjoy if you should need to skip the olives again in the future ;)

Can you deal with this amazing weather?! I feel like I've been so spoiled the past few days, I'm so sad that it's going to get cold again. I've been trying to soak up as much of this warmth as possible :)

Hey Now!!!!

FF, I'd like a full English breakfast as well. Please make one and then let us all in how to do it. I drink Iced Tea in restaurants. Were I in NYC or Europe, I would still drink Coffee. Down here, I'd only be amplifying my agita if I drank Coffee.

Ingrid, let me know when you'll be breakfasting at Maud's and I'll meet you up there.

Unknown, I don't get how the back of the house can work, but the front of the house can't? Like what's going on in the back of the house that we're not seeing? Anyway, I wondered if you went Citibiking yesterday. It was gorgeous here as well.

Sarah, you read my mind: thinking of getting pickles at the ready (although I did buy a bag of WF's Potato Chips today). It's definitely like spring has sprung. Even more ideal because there are no bugs out.

Uh oh, I missed the Shen-commenting deadline! And I was going to say such wise things about why the service is terrible, too.
