WTF Tuesday

Kashi Berry Fruitful for breakfast...
Eggless Egg Salad from The Common Market for lunch...
Last Saturday, when I picked up the Shepherd's Pie from The Randy Radish, I also picked up a 'Family Of Four' pack of the 'Organic Three Bean Chili' for $25. We ate the first half tonight..I did the math and it works out to $6.25/pp...
The best way for me to describe this Chili is 'you can't make this yourself at home.' Based on Mr. SVegetarian's reaction to the Chili, we'll have to start buying it in vats...
Another slice of Wholly Wholesome Pumpkin Pie for dessert. One more slice to go and I will have eaten the entire Pie myself...
All different grub tomorrow.

Oooh that chili looks amazing! So what is it about the chili that brought you to the conclusion that you can't make it at home? Glad that it was enjoyed! Pretty good price per person too! Randy Radish has certainly treated you well! That pumpkin pie looks amazing every time I see it. Will there be more in your future after this one or is it one and done?

I keep trying to talk myself out of buying cold cereal, as I want to use up the oats in my cupboard, but I really want some. Ha! Nice looking Kashi.

OR you could make chili at home, put it into the Randy Radish container and he'd be none the wiser. This message will self destruct in 30 seconds. . .

Nice day of grub! The sandwich side of olives is something all restaurants should do. How smart of Randy to make your life so much easier and more delicious! The right spice blend can really make or break and chili and that's so much less than eating out. (Altho your own would be so much cheaper but whatevs) glad the pie is still alive, i take it Mr leaves it alone.

And yes! A whole cauliflower!! I'll have to watch closely during the steaming so it doesnt overcook, and i'm swapping in a muhammara or romesco instead of the goat cheese nonsense. This recipe:

Glad you enjoyed another meal from RR. I'm with Sarah -- what made it something you can't make at home? I am conflicted about ordering chili, or even buying it from the store, knowing that I can make a very good one at home with my flavor preferences for less money.

The difference between you and me is that I would've eaten that entire pie in two days by myself.

Hey Now!!!!

Sarah, I've made Veggie Chili many times and it's been okay, but never great. Not much I make is really great though. Yes, there will be more Pies in my future for sure.

Ingrid, get yourself a nice box of Cereal and a Hazelnut Cranberry Roast En Croute. You've earned it. Mr. SV would totally be able to recognize my own Chili.

Unknown, Randy Radish is going to be at the Farmers Market every Saturday through winter, so they will keep me well fed. No clue why Mr. SV hasn't had any Pumpkin Pie, but he definitely ain't getting any now. What an unusual recipe for the Cauliflower. I may try it myself.

Jared, I do hope you get to try RR's Chili and you'll see that it has such mysterious depth of flavor, there is no way any home cook could create such a thing.

Hannah, there may be a difference in our metabolisms as well...
