Sunday, November 10th

The 'Tofurky Reuben' $6.59 at The Common Market for breakfast...
along with some Roasted Potatoes off the hot bar...
Yesterday, I picked up a 'Family Of Four' pack of the Shepherd's Pie from The Randy Radish for $25. We ate the first half tonight because we are a family of two...
Best Shepherd's Pie I've ever had. The Mashed Potatoes alone were fantastic. Perfectly creamy...
An Alternative Baking Company Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie for dessert...
Cereal and a Sandwich tomorrow? Maybe.

Definitely some great looking meals today! Glad to see the return of the reuben and those roasted potatoes look so delicious. How great that the shepherd's pie was really delicious and that you have some more to enjoy later on! I totally forgot to look for ABC cookies at Whole Foods... although I guess I'm better off for it. Yours looks great though. Do you have off tomorrow?

The ruben looks great- the outside looks nice and toasty too. And some good roasted potatoes go with everything.
Randy is smart! I don't think i ever had a "real" shepards pie- but good mashed potatoes make any dish even better. Looks like they're sending you a not at all subdle hint with that prominant expiration date.....maybe randy is a lurking blog reader!! ;)

Mike would love that shepherds pie and I'll take that reuben.

He won't be able to cook for quite a while yet, but I'm stepping up to the plate okay. Scramble with avocado on a weekend is a great idea.

If yr Blogger roll being crazy? I only saw this post in my feed this morning. Kinda frustrating since I use yr posts primarily to remind myself what day of the week it is.
Are you planning on finishing the missing family members' portions of the shepherds pie tonight? They always sound delicious but I've never had or made one.
Dunno if I've seen that flavor of the ABC cookies...

Ooh, love the ABC PB/Chocolate Chip Cookie. Actually I love the whole day! I saw the recent issue of VegNews had a vegan shepherd's pie recipe and has had me thinking about making it. The Randy Radish looks to also have nailed it. Now that I've had an amazing Reuben, I can appreciate the one you pick up even more! :)

Your maths is impeccable. Also... peanut butter. Well done.

I know I've been a bad blogger :(

Yum! The sandwich looks as amazing as always.

And that shepherd's pie looks amazing! Definitely looks better and probably tastes better than Amy's shepherd's pie!

such a good food day!

So ABC is supposedly launching a chocolate peppermint cookie-of-the-season, but I haven't seen it yet. Let us know if you do!

Hey Now!!!!

Sarah, I hope you post your WF's haul and latest Tyler pics. No, I didn't get Veterans Day off, but will get a four day weekend in a two weeks. As I'm sure you will too.

Unknown, I've only had vegan Shepherd's Pie a few times before. This was the first time it was actually as fantastic as the description would lead one to believe. You don't seem like a Mashed Potatoes girl at all though.

RVs, so sorry Mike can't cook or cuddle with the girls. He's really out of commission. It must be very hard for you to pick up his slack.

FF, I don't always get the day of the week right (much to Blessed Mama's delight). And Blogger definitely does some weird sh*t. I'm planning to enjoy the remaining 50% of the Shepherd's Pie in a couple days. I think you might like it. It's major comfort food.

Ingrid, was PBCC the ABC Cookie flavor you recommended for me to try? I couldn't remember which one it was. I'm just glad your first Reuben experience was positive and you want to repeat it.

Hannah, ugh! That Shepherd's Pie math was hard! I had to re-edit/re-publish the post two times cuz I kept miscalculating how much of the 'Family Of Four' meal Mr. SV & I ate.

VGG, perhaps I'm putting too much pressure on you to blog because when you don't blog for a week I figure you've quit. I hate when bloggers just quit and disappear without saying 'goodbye'. It's my personal issue. I'll try to back-off.

Abby Bean, I didn't see Chocolate Peppermint amongst the ABC Cookies display yesterday, but will keep an eye out. Shouldn't be too difficult to study the vegan cookie display.
