Sunday, February 15th

Nothing like 50-60 mph winds to make one decide to just eat at home. Made a not-so-pretty batch of Sarah Kramers Banana Pancakes to enjoy with Field Roast Breakfast Sausages...
Loving Hut's Jalapeno Tofu (#33) for dinner...I did some stocking up yesterday in preparation for not getting out again today...
the other half of my Vegan Treats' Coconut Almond Cake for dessert...
I will try to avoid whining about the weather. Bye for now.

The winds were seriously intense today! The sidewalks are still icy and I was almost pushed down the block by the winds as if on skates! I saw some people carrying kids and it made me very scared.
But you made do very nicely. Always glad to see those pancakes in rotation.

Whine away! I certainly do! And I think wind is the worst. Gross. I wouldn't leave either.

I'm gonna have to go out to find one. I hate you!

Good decision to stay put. The pancakes look great! And the tofu lunching has some great veggie action in there too-i bet the jalapenos even warmed you up a bit.
Good looking cake there.

Unfortunately i did have to be out and about today, weather channel said it was 0 with the windchill but coulda been colder. Late afternoon wine with a friend made the windy walk home more tolerable :)

Ps
Cinnamon snail truck will be no longer as of end of Feb! They couldn't get their permit....

I feel your pain weather wise. I have been trying so hard not to whine about this winter, but it's so hard. At least you stocked up on some delicious food!

Hey Now!!!!

FF, the people carrying kids at least have something to break their fall if they get blown over. You got nuthin. Yeah, I am totally carb loading now. I dont give a crap how bad it looks on da blog.

Ingrid, the wind is certainly scary in terms of potentially falling trees. Your parents are lucky to be back safe at home. Grandma is getting hit with 5''-8'' of snow tonight.

SB, that is why, when one sees Vegan Coconut Cake, one must buy some! Words to live by.

Unknown, I would tell you to stockpile Cinnamon Snail grub, but how are they gonna be out in this weather, let alone any customers? Sorry I will never get to try them.

VP, yeah, it is like: this is a food blog, not a weather blog, but dang! it is cold!
