Friday, March 9th

The usual take--to-work breakfast.
A Groupon induced lunch with Mom today. Cappellini Broccoli Agli Olio $10.95 Angel Hair Pasta cooked with Broccoli in Olive Oil Garlic Sauce. Served w/unpictured side salad at La Panetteria
I ate way too much bread and Olive Oil.
Marinated House Flavor $6.95 Stewed with Bamboo Shoots, Shiitake Mushrooms, Potatoes, Carrots and Soy Protein from Sunflower for dinner.
Half a WF's Chocolate Chip Muffin for dessert. At least this muffin had some chips in the bottom as well as on top.
Coming up tomorrow: Catching up on everyone's posts.

Thursday, March 8th

TJ's Raisin Swirl Bread with Tofutti Cream Cheese for breakfast.
A Veggie Burrito Bowl from Chipotle for lunch.
A bowl of homemade Vegetable Soup with a dunk of crusty bread for dinner.
Half a Chocolate Chip Cookie from Everlasting Life Cafe for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: Grapefruit and Energy Chunk for breakfast, Italian food for lunch...

WTF Wednesday

Grape Nuts with a lot of Almond Milk for breakfast...
After breakfast, I turned off the flash. One of my readers not only lives in Brooklyn but also toils in a basement. The joyous brightness of my food photos has apparently been searing her subterranean retinas. Below we have leftover Pasta Primavera with TJ's Meatless Meatballs for lunch.
WF's Red Pepper Hummus with Pizzettina Crackers for an afternoon snack.
Homemade Vegetable Soup for dinner.
Followed by Toffuti Cream Cheese and Rye Crackers.
Coming up tomorrow: A return to the flash. This darkness is ridiculous.

WTF Tuesday

Yes, this was weird but I chose to have Yves Salami on Rye with Yellow Mustard for breakfast. It might have had something to do with not having breakfast till late in the morning.
A bowl of homemade Vegetable Soup for lunch. There is tons more where this came from.
Half a WF's Veggie Burger w/A1, Broccoli & Baked Potatoes for dinner. Again.
Rice Divine Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream for dessert. This is the third time I've found it melted when I went to open the freezer. Melted but also with ice crystals (any refrigerator mechanics out there?). I added Peanut Butter which I highly recommend doing to ice cream.
Coming up tomorrow: Trying to reign in the crazy. I'm anticipating Grape Nuts for breakfast and leftover Pasta Primavera for lunch. Don't freak out if I'm wrong.

Monday, March 5th

Breakfast was a Banana and TJ's Valencia Flax Seed Peanut Butter.
Lentil Dal Wrap with cup of Vegetable Soup for lunch $7.99...
Half a WF's Veggie Burger with Broccoli & Baked Potatoes for dinner.
Rice Divine Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream for dessert. This is the second time I've found it melted when I went to open the freezer. It may look repulsive, but I added Peanut Butter and it was incredible.
Coming up tomorrow: Working from home. I'm pretty positive there will be a bowl of homemade Vegetable Soup for lunch or dinner, but I dare not predict anything else lest I inflame some readers who are extra sensitive to surprises.

Sunday, March 4th

Toffuti Cream Cheese and TJ's Raspberry Preserves on Toast for breakfast...
Gardein Crispy Tenders with Heinz-57 for lunch.
Instead of lunch out today, we did dinner out at a Cajun Korean Restaurant. I enjoyed a Hurricane $10 Kraken Black Rum, Brugal Anejo Rum, Flor De Cana, Lemon, Passion Fruit...
We shared the Tempura Fried Pickles $6 to start....
I had the House Made Noodles $13 Shitakii and Royal Trumpet Mushrooms, Vegetables, Sesame, Sake, Lemon, Kochu, Soy
Mr. SV had Chap Che $16 Glass Noodles, Mushrooms, Vegetables, Soy and Sesame.
I don't usually show non-vegan items on the blog, but Mr. SV's Beignets for dessert looked like something worth sharing...maybe someone out there can veganize them.
This meal wasn't as filling as our usual meals, so I had a Hot Dog when I got home.
Coming up tomorrow: Banana and Peanut Butter for breakfast. Lunch still undetermined.

Saturday, March 3rd

Grape Nuts with a lot of Almond Milk for breakfast...
Lunch was at Cantina D'Italia, starting with the Side Salad...
three pieces of Bruschetta (lots of Garlic, Tomatoes, Basil and Olive Oil on fresh made Italian Bread)...
..half of this Pasta Primavera...
Dinner was homemade Vegetable Soup...
Leftover Italian Bread with Green Olive Spread for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: Same scenario as today: Breakfast at home, Lunch out.

Friday, March 2nd

A WF's Vegan Blueberry Muffin for breakfast. As you can see from my initial bite, all the Blueberries were on top and zero Blueberries were inside. Although perfectly moist, the 'berries as topping only' makes me consider this muffin a major rip. Additionally, after consuming the massive treat, I had to crawl back into bed till lunch.
I managed to haul myself out of bed for some Kung Pao 'Chicken' $6.95 at Good Fortune. They have a special vegan menu. Very tasty.
Field Roast Frankfurter and TJ's Tater Tots for dinner. One can love both processed and un-processed foods.
No dessert due to the cup of sugar and fat I had for breakfast. Coming up tomorrow: Mr. SV says he's willing to go out to lunch. I'm thinking Italian food (since both of my current Groupons are for Italian restaurants).

Thursday, March 1, 2012

Thursday, March 1st

Grapefruit with Energy Bite for breakfast.
Skinnylicious Fresh Vegetable Salad $9.95 Asparagus, Green Beans, Tomato, Cucumber, Roasted Beets, Apple, Edemame, Radicchio and Romaine with Peanut Vinaigrette at The Cheesecake Factory (where Ingrid ate with her Grandma last time she visited Virginia). This Salad was shockingly great, beautiful and fresh.
Boca Burgers with TJ's Veggie Chili and Baked Potatoes for dinner.
Half a slice of Peanut Butter Cheesecake from Vegan Treats for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: Taking a vacation day, so breakfast and lunch can be considered 'wildcards'.

WTF Wednesday

A Trader Joe's breakfast: British Muffins, Flax Seed Valencia Peanut Butter and Raspberry Preserves...Phenomenal!Lunch was an Yves Salami Sandwich on WF's Pretzel Bread with copious quantities of Vegenaisse. Again, awesome.
Boca Burgers with TJ's Veggie Chili and Baked Potatoes for dinner. Genius.Half of this miniature Peanut Butter Cup Cake from Vegan Treats for dessert. It was a stellar food day.
Coming up tomorrow: Ye Olde Grapefruit and Energy Bite. Lunch at a popular chain restaurant as yet to be determined.
