Friday, December 23rd

No bitter pith in this breakfast.
I ate this Veggie Burger and Fries at Meritage for lunch $13 The bun was actually soft, so that helped me get it all down.
I was beyond thirsty when I got home. This drink didn't make a dent.
Dinner was the Tofu and Green Bean Dish that Ingrid made last week. I made the full recipe (Ten cloves of Garlic and all) but subbed Shitakes for Creminis. Didn't know what the 'All-Purpose Seasoning Mix' entailed, so I just used Crushed Red Pepper Flakes.
Excellent recipe, thanks for photographing the page in the cookbook and posting it on the internet, Ingrid!

Root beer.
I have never understood how anybody could like that drink. Not even with the ice-cream blob floating on top. I think that's called a root-beer float?

I think the recipe you made from Ingrid's page looks really awesome. And anything with lots of garlic sounds pretty good to me.

Green beans and tofu sound like a great combo! Looks awesome, and 10 cloves of garlic you say? I'm in.

I'm in the pro-rootbeer camp, but I think it's one of those things that you either like or hate.

That veggie burger looks the business too. I've got to get of my butt and get out for a good burger and fries one of these days.

"All-purpose" usually means "spiciest thing you can find" to me too. Sucks for everyone else when the recipe calls for "All purpose flour."

You always get such perfect looking fries. That burger looks huge!

Did the root beer taste any different with green tea in it?

Oh my, that veggie burger looks goo-od! Kinda like the one I had at Max Burger: http://missrachel.com/?p=1685.

The green bean dish looks *amazing* (I know you "love" that word). Seriously it looks really delicious, and I'm not gonna argue with 10 cloves of garlic - yum!

OMG that veggie burger looks so good! The fries look even better! Everyone makes fun of me because it takes me forever to peel oranges and clementines because I get as much pith off as possible. Glad I'm not the only one :) The tofu and green beans look delicious too, I'm sure we'll see a lot of it in future posts :) hope you enjoy a relaxing holiday!

Hey Now!!!!

Isotope, consider yourself lucky not to be into Root Beer or Root Beer Floats. Don't even try to get into them. Wish I wasn't.

Rose, the Tofu & Greens dish was totally the business (as you would say;-))

FF, yeah, I took a risk there interpreting the author's 'All-Purpose' Seasoning. Still refuse to buy the book.

Molly, I do believe the Root Beer tasted healthier made with Green Tea, but I couldn't tell you how so.

Miss Rachel, 'The Bachelor' is coming back on in January, so 'Amazing' will be uttered a minimum of once every thirty seconds then.

VaVa, yep, the Tofu & Green Beans Recipe served four people, so there is still a tiny bit left. Enjoy your holiday as well!
