Dinner was Morningstar Vegan Grillers with Toffuti Singles and Oven Fries.
As well as liberal quantities of Liberty Creek Cabernet Sauvignon.

Food Is Good.

Lunch today was at Cantina D'Italia. It started w/a small House Salad...
...Italian Bread...
...and then Penne Primavera for my entree...
I found the Agave Nectar at Costco for that Alicia mentioned a week or two ago. Two 23.5 ounce bottles for $7.75 as opposed to the 11.75 ounce bottle I get at Trader Joe's for @ $4.
I think my Agave Nectar needs should be covered for the foreseeable future.
Dinner was Chickpea Cutlets with Roasted Cauliflower and Goddess Dressing...
Back tomorrow with more of what a regular vegan eats.

As well as a nice bottle of Charles Shaw Shiraz.

Frigid Friday

Frigid cold outside, however, lunch was a ray of sunshine from California Pizza Kitchen. Pasta with Asparagus, Spinach, Tomatoes, Basil & GARLIC.
I couldn't decide between eating something interesting for the blog or eating something simple and easy. At the risk of being the most boring blogger ever, dinner tonight was one of Alicia's Cutlets w/Heinz 57 and a couple Baked Potatoes w/Toffuti Better than Sour Cream.
More pathetic is that I don't know how to undo the double spacing above.

WFH Wednesday

Lunch was a sandwich comprised of Wegman's Spicy Peppadew Bruschetta, Baby Spinach and Avocado on toasted Whole Wheat Bread. Really good, if I must say so myself.
Then I had a 'Kind Diet' Brownie. Doubt I'll ever get around to icing these, as they're fine without icing. I prefer my Brownies fudgier, but these are definitely moist.
Dinner was this Tetrazzini Recipe from Recipezaar with a side of Roasted Cherry Tomatoes.
I changed a lot about the recipe (used one pound of Spaghetti instead of a half, Celery instead of Green Pepper, TJ's Chicken-less Chicken for the Seitan etc etc) but it is still a solid recipe I will make again and highly recommend.

A Pretty Good Food Day

Lunch was the Yuppie Veggie Sandwich from Zpizza. Unfortunately, they left off the Cucumber and Avocado, but the bread was so good, I didn't mind too much. Also, some Veggie Chili from Harris Teeter.
Dinner was Tofu Scramble with Sliced Tofurkey Sausage and Oven Fries.
TJ's Valencia Peanut Butter and Ghiradelli Chips for dessert...

Dinner was a bowl of Mr. SV's Veggie Chili...
...followed by some Ry*Krisp Crackers and Tofutti Better Than Cream Cheese (eaten in bed). Not a bad bite all day.

The Day Before Monday

Today I made Brownie Recipe from 'The Kind Diet' that was reprinted in our local paper...
I sifted together the Flour, Cocoa, Baking Soda, Baking Powder and Salt. Then stirred in the Sugar.
Then poured in the Coffee, Soymilk & Canola. Added the Chopped Walnuts...
Baked at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
Lunch was the rest of the Skinny Bitch Beef Stew. I've shown that enough.
Dinner was one of Alicia's Cutlets w/Heinz 57 and a Baked Potato w/Toffuti Better than Sour Cream.
Then I had a piece of Brownie before icing them. Excellent Brownie. Very moist.
Oh well, back into the Viper Pit tomorrow. Mr. SV won't let me quit my job.

Only One Day Left Till It's Back To Work...

I finally made the Banana Everything Cookies that were in the NY Times last month...first you mash a Banana and mix with Sugar, Vanilla & Canola Oil......add the Flour, Salt, Baking Soda and Cinnamon...
...followed by the Oats, Walnuts and Chips...
...when everything is moistened...
...roll em up into little balls....
...and bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. My personal opinion is that these would be better with Raisins rather than Chocolate Chips, but they are good.
Lunch was at the The Union Jack. I had the Boca Burger and Fries...
...with a $10 glass of Delirium Noel....When the check came, I was surprised to see my beer cost more than my meal, but the 10% abv did calm my nerves.
Dinner was a bowl of Skinny Bitch Beef Stew...
...followed by a home-made cookie...
It was hard to thoroughly enjoy any of the food today, the thought of returning to work preyed on my mind, but maybe in two days I'll look back on this post longingly...

Everything Is Closed Today

Mr. SV made pizza for lunch using his Chili instead of Pizza Sauce and FYH Cheddar on top. Below is my personal pan pizza.I ate almost the whole thing. Topped with Oregano, Crushed Red Peppers and Nooch...
I was super stuffed from all the pizza, so I only had a few of these nuggets for dinner...
They're just okay, I wouldn't buy them again. I made 'Russian Dressing' (Veganaisse and Ketchup) to accompany them.
Maybe some restaurants will be open tomorrow.

Super Yum End To The Year

Breakfast was Fluffy Vegan Pancakes with sliced Bananas from Recipezaar. I topped them with Agave Nectar, Yves Breakfast Patties on the side. Then I had a bowl of Skinny Bitch Beef Stew for lunch.
Then I had some of Wegman's Peppadew Bruschetta and a dozen little Black Olives...
Then it was almost 5pm... time to break out the bubbly....
To have with Mr. SV's famous (his Mother's recipe) Veggie Chili...
Chunky it was! My best wishes for the New Year to all who visit this blog! Please come back next year (tomorrow) for more of the same.
