Saturday, October 25th

Breakfast was the 'Tofu Scramble Wrap' at True Food Kitchen, this time with a tiny ramekin of Tomatillo/Jalapeno mixture...Way too much food, but I ate it all anyway...
A 'Lentil Avocado Salad' from LPQ for dinner...
Jasper checking out the birds from inside the barn...
A very pensive Mystique...wondering when Mommy will stop taking pics...
Something different tomorrow? Doubtful. Bye for now.

Kitties!!!! Aww this made my day so much brighter!! Such beautiful fur children you have! I love all of your critter pics :)

Do they have any other interesting looking brunch foods at True Food Kitchen? The wrap does look amazing but I'd be so curious about other things! Wonder where brunch will bring you tomorrow. The salad looks great too. Looks like they remembered all of the accoutrements this time so right on for that!

I just looked at the menu, for some reason I thought they would have more vegan options! Definitely see why you go with the wrap now. Luckily it looks great, I can see why you go back for it!

In my primitive mind, your barn was constructed of wood. But I should have known better, as the barn on my aunt and uncle's farm is metal. I like that yours has (mesh?) windows, too allow for viewing - just as Jasper is demonstrating!

I bought a bag of lentils today, any ideas on what LPQ does with theirs -that I might steal the recipe?

TFK is your new LPQ! That wrap looks cravable though, and weekends are all about a big brunch. Nice addition with the hot green sauce there.
The lentil salad is extra pretty today with all those carrot ribbons.

Your cats are so gorgeous! I love the silhouette shot, and mystique is such a striking combo with those eyes and white fur- I bet she's cuddly too when you're not taking picture of her :)

I've been using that fig walnut confit on toast, on apple slices, stirred into my chia pudding, and off the spoon....the ingredients are just walnuts, dried figs, sherry vinegar, sugar, lemon juice and salt-so i figure i can make it somehow, right?

Ooh, that tomatillo-jalapeno thingy sounds good! I made chimichurri sauce tonight so I'm all about savory green sauces right now.
The lentil avocado salad doesn't look as good as it has in the past, though. A little dry?
But the cats make up for it. They are some gorgeous babes.

Hey Now!!!!

Sarah, yeah. I am pretty much stuck with the Wrap at True Food Kitchen unless I go for the Olive Oil Muffin. No biggie. All i ask fior is to eat breakfast out on the weekends. Glad you're back and all painted up.

Ingrid, our barn is all wood, unlike your grandparent's. That pic is of Jasper sitting on a bench. We replace the open-air window with plexiglass in the winter. I think LPQ just soaks the Lentils and drains them, before adding to the Salad. I am no good with that kind of info.

Unknown,, and dont ask me about making the Confit. I think if the Confit people have successfully combined those ingredient to your satisfaction, just keep buying it already prepared. So still no Mason sitings? it has been a few weeks.

FF, i do have some seriously gorgeous felines. Wish I could take credit for their appearance, but they were adopted.

VP, I know you like the critter pics. I would post them more often if the subjects were a little more cooperative.
