Thursday, June 26th

The Air Conditioning Repairman Cameth. Although finally nice and chilly inside, I still didn't need to turn on the oven for the third day in a row...
Mr. SVegetarian took a vacation day and, while out on his motorcycle, he picked me up a 'Tofurky Reuben' from the Common Market (as well as some Eggless Egg Salad for next weeks lunches)...
More PF Changs Ma Po Tofu reheated on the stove for dinner..
A few cheerful sights around the property today. A self-sowed Squash that has been growing vigorously in the compost pile area. This pic was taken in the afternoon when the blossoms had withered but still so eye-catching...
the Squirrels planted this Sunflower and the Deer allowed it to grow to fruition...
Thumper loves laying on newspaper. The more the better...
No lunch with Mom tomorrow, she's back at the beach. Bye for now.

An Amazing Grass Smoothie for breakfast...
Lunch was 'MaPo Tofu' $10.95 that I picked up on Sunday from PF Changs and reheated on the stove...
Mr. SVegetarian picked me up a 'Viva La Vegan' Pizza from Ledo's for dinner...
I was pretty uncomfortable from all that 'za, but I still ate a chunk of a 'Peanut Butter Cookie'...
Air Conditioning repairmen scheduled to show up at 8 am tomorrow morning. If they really do show up and if they are successful in getting our A/C going again, I'll be able to turn on the oven once more. Bye for now.

Tuesday, June 24th

Did you know that Strawberries originated in Brittany, France in the 1750's? I do now, thanks to Wikipedia, but I didn't yet know when I was eating a pound of them for breakfast this morning...
Lunch was a 'Mediterranean Picnic Sandwich' via The Randy Radish...Zucchini, Squash, Eggplant, Red Pepper, Spinach with Sun-Dried Tomato and Walnut Pesto on a Fresh Baked Roll...
The international theme continued on to Spain with a bowl of LPQ Gazpacho for dinner...There was some Pesto-type stuff that had congealed on top along with diced Radishes. I plowed right through all of that with a piece of WW bread. The spiciness built nice & slowly as I made my way to the bottom of the bowl. Thanks for the rec, Unknown!
USA represented at dessert time with a chunk of a Great Sage 'Campfire Smores Cookie'...
Great food day with no turning on of the oven at all. Bye for now.

Monday, June 23rd

Even through our A/C went kaput yesterday, breakfast was a very pleasurable experience....
Lunch was good too. Mr. SVegetarian picked up from Thai Deelish. 'Cashew Nut Tofu' $9.99 Cashews, Bell Peppers, Onions & Scallions in a Light Brown Sauce...
It was pretty steamy by this evening, almost like living in Queens, so dinner was a bag of Cracker Jack...
My prize was a Milwaukee Brewers sticker. Gotta find something cool to permanently adhere it to...
Bye for now.

Sunday, June 22nd

'Tofu Scramble' is still not a regular item at LPQ. This morning they were able to make some up special for me with Tomatoes, but it was touch and go there for a few moments...
My usual 'Lentil & Avocado Salad' carried out for dinner...
the other half of my Great Sage Linzer Cookie for dessert....
Bye for now.

This is a super abbreviated post. No breakfast again today, Chipotle Sofritas Bowl for lunch...
Boca Chickn Patties with a Dawson's Market Mac & Cheese Muffin (that crash landed on the plate) for dinner....
and no dessert either. Wish the above was more exciting, but oh well...Bye for now.

Friday, June 20th

Knowing that lunch would be at Brooklyn's Deli, I wisely skipped breakfast this morning. Below is my Ginormous 'Veggie Sandwich' $8.99 Spinach, Sprouts, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Avocado, Cucumbers and Carrots with Hummus....
as well as lots of Fries I consumed...
not to mention the never ending Pickle Bowl...I know one type of Pickle is the favorite and one type is not, but I still don't know which is which...
I was pretty stuffed after all of the above, so just more Roots Market Potato Salad for dinner...
Speaking of which, two weeks till July 4th...
Bye for now.

An Amazing Grass Smoothie for breakfast. Tasted good and was a prettier color than my usual Spirulina Smoothie...

Roots Market Eggless Egg Salad for lunch...
'Crab Cake' with homemade Tartar Sauce and Roasted Squash for dinner....
All these ingredients sort of add up to a 'Crab Cake like' experience....
Got tons of desserts, but wasn't in the mood for any other them. Bye for now.

Tuesday, June 17th

Kashi Berry Fruitful with Hemp Milk for breakfast...
A scalding hot bowl of Root's Lentil Vegetable Soup for lunch. Perfect for our +90 degree temps...
Unfortunately, this was no better than any soup I could make for myself...
More from Root's Market for dinner: 'Crab Cake' with homemade Tartar Sauce and Roasted Squash....
More from Great Sage for dessert: Half of a 'Linzer Cookie'...
Bye for now.

Sunday, June 15th

Lunch was in a darkened booth of The Cheesecake Factory, where my Mother took me, Mr. SVegetarian, my brother and his kids to lunch for Father's Day.  I got my usual 'Fresh Vegetable Salad' $9.95 minus the cheese. Good meal for mindlessly shoveling in amidst much external stimuli....
'Mixed Vegetables and Tofu' (aka #22) $8.95 carried out from Loving Hut for dinner...
A small portion of a 'Campfire Smores Cookie' from Great Sage for dessert...
Phew! Lots of going hither and yon this weekend. Back to being home bound tomorrow. Bye for now.

Saturday, June 14th

A late breakfast/early lunch enjoyed at Great Sage. Mr. SVegetarian started with an Almond Milk Latte, whereas I went with a pint of the Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter $6. At first sip, I didn't like it, however, by the bottom of the glass, the 9.2% abv had won me over...
One cannot go to Great Sage without getting the 'Artichoke Spinach Dip' $10...

My 'Crab Cake Sandwich' $13 Roasted Red Pepper, Caramelized Onion, Hearts of Palm 'Crab Cake' served on a Kaiser Roll, topped with Lettuce, Tomato and Basil Caper Remoulade. Served with Creamy Dijon Coleslaw.
Mr. SVegetarian very much liked his 'Chipotle 'Chicken' Salad Wrap' $12 Roasted Corn, Black Beans, Beyond Meat Chipotle 'Chicken' Salad with Lettuce, Tomato and Avocado (on the side) in a Spinach Tortilla. Served with Swiss Chard...
Made some Oven Fries to have with part of my leftovers for dinner...
More unusual weekend eats tomorrow. Bye for now.
