At least we now know (but probably will continue to 'celebrate').

Unknown, the Potatoes were part of the $10 Value Meal as well. They looked better than they tasted. same for the Green Garbanzos. The Okonomiyaki sounds right up my (comfort food) alley, but way too defficult for me to try at home http://vegnews.com/articles/page.do?pageId=2336&catId=11

FF, i thought I had Tequila on hand, but Mr. SV must have drank it, so it was Vodka as usual. The Vega I had bought without realizing it had stevia in it and I think you dont mind it.

VP, the Green Garbanzos were softer and tasted like Peas. Whole Foods usually has them every spring.

Sarah, so you put Cauliflower (cooked?) in a Taco with Salsa and Guac?Vegan In The VIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05987192418948736625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817732670808777528.post-19302236163217343332015-05-06T10:46:40.627-04:002015-05-06T10:46:40.627-04:00I agree, Cinco de Mayo is always a really fun holi...I agree, Cinco de Mayo is always a really fun holiday! I made some cauliflower tacos while in Florida as an early celebration and oh man were they good (forgot to take a photo though, wah! I'll be making them again for sure though). Your dinner looks fantastic! Green garbanzo salad is fancy- those fresh ones are a fairly serious pain in the ass to prep. I'm surprised WF had them as part of a value meal actually.
Those are some great looking tostadas! Who cares why we celebrate cinco de mayo, its a good holiday to have. Too bad it isn't a proper day off.

The line for the taco vendor at the market was insane today- their veg option sounded lame anyhow, so i went with a shiitake okonomiyaki which was actually really good!
TtrockwoodUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06663703136044038950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817732670808777528.post-4168358414790452252015-05-05T20:56:01.407-04:002015-05-05T20:56:01.407-04:00Nicely celebrated! Although, I do wonder what Mexicans, living in Mexico, think of us celebrating their battle - that they don't commemorate. Kind of like if Canadians celebrated The Louisiana Purchase, I guess?Ingridhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08233746363191114228noreply@blogger.com
