Thursday, September 27th

Breakfast was a moist slice of Banana Bread from Outpost Natural Foods via the Rambling Vegans. Very Bananay. In a good way.
The rest of the day was 99% WFs: Indian Food off the hot bar for lunch....Followed by half a TJ's Dark Chocolate Bar (the 1%)...
$8 WF's Meal Deal to go for dinner....
No dessert due to the double serving of Chocolate after lunch. Coming up tomorrow: The weekly lunch out with Mom & Groupon.

WTF Wednesday

Kashi Cinnamon Harvest and Flaxseed Milk for breakfast. My life would be guaranteed delicious if this is all I ate for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
As it was, lunch was Tofurky Italian Deli Slices on a French Roll from Breadsmith. The Heirloom Tomato was good, but I may be 'out-growing' these faux deli meats. They're not as appealing as they used to be.
Paul Sorvino Arrabiatta Sauce and TJ's Meatless Meatballs for dinner. Excellent sauce.
The other half of my Sheba Bar from Outpost Natural Foods via the Rambling Vegans. This half was even better than the first half.
Coming up tomorrow: Breakfast from Wisconsin and lunch from a local restaurant.

WTF Tuesday

Bob's Red Mill Steel Cut Oats with Dried Cranberries for breakfast. I do not know how so many vegans eat Oatmeal for breakfast. It takes about a half hour to cook and you have to keep stirring every few minutes. Fuggedaboutit!
TJ's Chickenless Chicken and Avocado Open Faced Sandwich for lunch. Really good combo.
Field Roast Franks with Mac & Cheese from Everlasting Life Cafe for dinner. Gosh I ate well today.
Speaking of which: A few melt-in-your-mouth 'Pecan Fingers' from Outpost Natural Foods (aka the Swap Box from the Rambling Vegans) for dessert.

Coming up tomorrow: More WTF Grub.

Monday, September 24th

We are now out of Bananas, so this breakfast wont be seen on the blog again for at least a week. Still good though.
Tofu and Vegetables off the WF's Hot Bar for lunch.
Eggless Egg Salad on a Big Roll for dinner.
Dessert was a half a Sheba Bar from Outpost Natural Foods in Milwaukee. Milwaukee?! Yes, that's right. The Rambling Vegans and I conducted a vegan package swap and I made out like a bandit (sort of unfair for them). Anyway, this was my first Sheba Bar: Chocolatey Caramelly Crunchy and Rich Rich Rich! Much more to come from that Wisconsin box.
Coming up tomorrow: Working from home type stuff.

Sunday, September 23rd

Lunch was enjoyed on the charming backyard patio at Mellow Moods Juice Bar. Mr. SV & I both started with a cup of Butternut Squash Soup...
I had the Tempeh & Avocado Reuben $7.95
Then I combined both of our Side Salads on to one plate to finish.
Alas, my month long Soupergirl Soupscription has ended. The finale was Red Pepper Soup. The Soupscription was fun and tasty, but without a Groupon, way too expensive for me.
It's been open for two years, but today was my first visit to A Better Choice Bakery (there was a woman out front unrelated to the bakery selling gorgeous produce from a sustainable farm).
Of the vegan desserts the bakery owner was pointing out, I heard the words "Fudge" and "Pretzels" related to this one. Can't go wrong with that combo, so I bought four of these in addition to a 'Pecan Sandie' and 'Carrot Cake Blondie'.
So there is some new stuff. Back to the same old tomorrow.

Saturday, September 22nd

A most delicious lunch was enjoyed at  Clare and Don's Beach Shack. My Fried Dill Pickles $4 to start...
and my Blackened Tofu Sandwich $8.50 (Hi, Jenny!)
Below is Mr. SV's Swamp Thing $10.75 Dirty Rice with Blackened Tofu and Vegetables. Very spicy.
Boca Chicken Patties for dinner.
In honor of VaVa's birthday, I made a few Painkillers tonight. Many happy returns, Vavs!
From earlier in the day are pics of some of our Chickens eating the Side Salad from Mr. SV's lunch...
The biodegradable container was pecked clean by Chicken bed time. Coming up tomorrow: The Outlets and then the mid-day meal.

Friday, September 21st

The usual Breakfast...
Weekly Groupon Lunch was at Brooklyn's Deli where I enjoyed the Veggie Wrap $8.99 made with Spinach, Sprouts, Avocado, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Carrots...
...also Fries $2.50.
Tomato CousCous Soup from Soupergirl for dinner.
A little White Chocolate Peanut Butter for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: Not going to DC Vegfest. As it turns out, Mr. SV was only clamouring to go in hopes of being seduced by local news babe Wendy Rieger when my back was turned. An appropriate lunch out is planned instead.

Thursday, September 20th

Wegman's Crunchy Peanut Butter is so great.
The MaPo Tofu and Spring Roll from PF Changs was very good today, as usual. They gave me a massive portion, but I still wasn't really full. I had some TJ's CC Raisins afterwards.
TJ's Chili on Field Roast Frankfurters with Oven Fries for dinner was a splendid self-creation.
Coming up tomorrow: The weekly Groupon lunch with Mom.
