Friday, August 31st

You know...
Lunch was at Red Tomato Cafe, where, in order to get the full value of the Groupon, Mom & I had to order $40 worth of food. I started with the Bruschetta $7 (pretty crazy looking, huh?)
and then had the Capellini $10 for my entree.
Speaking of Groupons, I also used one for a mini 'Soupscription' from Soupergirl. For the next month, I get two soups delivered weekly. Tonight I enjoyed Herb Split Pea and it was very impressive...
Half a Peanut Butter Cookie from Everlasting Life Cafe for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: Endeavoring to eat more delicious food.

WTF Thursday

Kashi Cinnamon Harvest and Flaxseed Milk for breakfast.
A Daiya Cheese Sandwich on WF's Pretzel Bread. This was the Daiya Wedge and it melted quite well.
Veggie Chili carried out from Clare and Don's Beach Shack for dinner. Not the best Veggie Chili ever.
A Raspberry Bar from Natalia's Elegant Creations for dessert. Very tangy fruit with sugary topping.
Then I noticed some old Macaroni & Cheese from Everlasting Life Cafe in the refrigerator, so I had some of that. Cold.
Coming up tomorrow: 1/4 Danish for breakfast. A Groupon induced lunch out with Mom.

WTF Wednesday

Bob's Red Mill Steel Cut Oats with Dried Cranberries for breakfast.
Sukhi's Spinach Tofu Naanwich for lunch.
Boca Chickn Patties with Roasted Broccoli for dinner.
Rice Divine Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge and an Uncle Eddies Vegan Cookie for dessert. We should all be so lucky to have an Uncle Eddie.
For those who don't know, Chickens love Oatmeal as well as Fries.
Coming up tomorrow: More WFH Grub.

Tuesday, August 28th

Here's my 1/4 piece of Danish en route to work...
Speaking of fractions, I took a half day today. Picked up lunch at Wegmans en route home. A cup of Black Bean Soup (tasted horrible compared to WF's, but might just need some getting used to)...
and a Salad Bar Salad to which I added my own Goddess Dressing and Croutons when I got home.
Boca Burgers and Baked Potatoes with Sour Supreme for dinner.
A Coconut Cupcake from Natalia's Elegant Creations for dessert.
This is the food I ate today. Nothing more. So here is a personal tidbit: I've had a cat hair stuck in my left eye for two days. It is going to feel so great when I finally get it out.

Monday, August 27th

The below pic was taken in order to show the size of a Vegan Treats Blueberry Danish. Unsuccessfully. Anyway, breakfast was a 1/4 piece of the below Danish. Eating cake for breakfast really makes me hungry by lunch time. Which makes lunch taste better than usual.
Same sh*t, different day-- Adobo Black Bean Chili...
and Salad Bar for lunch. Followed by some of the TJ's CC Raisins I keep in my desk.
Field Roast Frankfurters and TJ's Tots for dinner followed by Everlasting Life Cafe Macaroni & Cheese for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: Another 1/4 piece of Danish. Probably WFs again.

Sunday, August 26th

Slept in late again, so breakfast was the Fried Dill Pickle Chips $4 at Clare and Don's Beach Shack.
Lunch was the Blackened Tofu Sandwich $8.50. Hi, Jenny! (She loves Blackened Tofu).
I recently bought a bag of White Bean Chili Mix from the grocery store clearance bin for $1.49.
I made it for dinner tonight and I have finally gotten wise to not using the entire seasoning packets in these prepackaged bean soups. It definitely would've been too spicy for me otherwise. As it was, I found it decent, but I think I'm just not a White Chili fan.
Pumpkin Mousse Cake from Vegan Treats for dessert. Very light and fluffy. Don't know how they do it.
Coming up tomorrow: Back to 1/4 piece of Danish and WFs for lunch.

Saturday, August 25th

After sleeping in late, we went to One Block West. So I guess breakfast was a loaf of fresh baked bread with very fruity Olive Oil.
Very soon followed by Couscous in the style of Paella for lunch. Only Couscous I ever enjoyed.
Dinner was more of that Soy Curl/Chickpea dish I made yesterday. Even though I added more Chili Powder and Oil, it still was too bland. The picture, like the food, is bland. This is why I have to eat out all the time.
Hummus and Triscuits were required to put some taste and texture on my tongue.
White Chocolate Peanut Butter for dessert. Mind blowing taste and doesn't disrupt todays color scheme.
Coming up tomorrow: More great lunch out (if I have anything to say about it).

Friday, August 24th

Venti Iced Soy Chai Tea Latte for breakfast...
The Crispy Burger at Loving Hut for lunch. Best 'Chicken' Sandwich ever. Bar none.
What do you have for dinner after all that greatness? There's nothing that could suffice. So I just cut up a bunch of vegetables that have been laying around -- Tomatoes, Potatoes, Broccoli, Onion, Garbanzos and Soy Curls and tossed them in a pot for a half hour. Pretty blah.
While at Loving Hut, the dessert delivery from Vegan Treats arrived. Mr. SV & I got to converse with the truck driver (it was like a celebrity sighting) and he could not have been more down-to-earth and personable. About 20 boxes of incredible desserts had been stacked up in the restaurant and we were trying to decide what to get. The Driver enthusiastically recommended a Cannoli: something I never in a million years would have picked. Only had it once and just thought it was like lousy dry Cheesecake in an annoying hard crust. The design was a big of a turn-off as well. Well, Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! The filling was creamy! The crust was light and sugary! It was so tidy to eat with my fingers! Thanks for the great advice, Delivery Guy! Today, you created a Cannoli Convert.
Coming up tomorrow: Another great lunch out is planned.

WTF Thursday

I worked from home again today. Here are some Plums for breakfast...
Mr. SV brought in lunch from Thai Deelish. I got the usual Green Curry $13.95.
Eggless Egg Salad from The Common Market for dinner.
Another half a chewy Peanut Butter Cookie from Everlasting Life Cafe for dessert. I let Mr. SV have the other two thirds of the Spice Cake. My love for him knows no bounds. At least today.
Coming up tomorrow: Anything can happen.

WTF Wednesday

Kashi Cinnamon Harvest and Flaxseed Milk for breakfast.
A TJ's Chickenless Chicken & Avocado Sandwich for lunch.
Candle Cafe Tofu Spinach Ravioli for dinner. One day I will actually dine at Candle Cafe. Typing that on my blog will make it so.
A third(!) of a piece of Spice Cake from Everlasting Life Cafe for dessert. This was heaven on earth. Highly suspicious that it was actually vegan.
Coming up tomorrow: More Plums for breakfast. Lunch is a wildcard.

WTF Tuesday

Cascadian Farms Cinnamon Crunch Cereal with Flaxseed Milk for breakfast.
Eggless Egg Salad from The Common Market for lunch...
followed by a cup of Pistachios...
Field Roast Franks and Navy Beans from Everlasting Life Cafe for dinner.
Half a chewy Peanut Butter Cookie from Everlasting Life Cafe for dessert.
So a good food day here. Hope I do as well tomorrow.
