Friday, September 30th

I took the day off work and also drank a bottle of soaked Chia Seeds. I live to tell. Might be an acquired taste.
Toffuti Cream Cheese with Olives on a Wegman's Everything Bagel for lunch.
Leftover Stroganoff & Roasted Green Beans for dinner.
Pretty great grub today. Plus the Green Beans were nutritious.

Thursday, September 29th

A Groupon induced lunch at Copper Canyon Grill. 'Veggie Burger' -- Spiced Brown Rice, Black Beans & Oat Bran Recipe topped 'my way. $11.50. At least I was not dying of thirst after eating this.
The last of the Chickpea and Chard Soup for dinner. Kale was subbed for Chard, forgot to mention that. The only thing better than a Mexican Hot Chocolate Snickerdoodle is a MHC Snickerdoodle with Peanut Butter.
One more day till MOFO starts. Can't wait to see what everyone brings.

WTF Wednesday

Hummus and Red Pepper for lunch.
Chickpea and Chard Soup for dinner. I thought this was very good for how simple it was.
Raspberry Jam Swirl Crumbcake for dessert. Used Whole Wheat Flour instead of All-Purpose. Will definitely add Chocolate Chips next time.
A very tasty and positive food day. Haven't had one of these in quite a while.

Tuesday, September 27th

Lacey said my Asian food last week looked like PeiWei. This got me thinking about giving PeiWei another chance. Today, I got a 'Vegetable Spring Roll' $2 - Cabbage, Ginger, Carrots, Celery, Scallions, Onions, Black Mushrooms, Glass Noodles, blah blah blah rolled in a crispy wrapper and the 'Spicy Korean' $7.50 - Korean Hot Pepper Sauce, Garlic, White Mushrooms, Onions, Carrots, Long Beans, Toasted Sesame Seeds. It wasn't as bad as last time I had PeiWei, A+ for presentation, but I won't rush back. Or stroll back.
A single Field Roast Frank for dinner.
Too stuffed from the Korean Spicy to eat dessert. Skinny *ss was showing off her sleek feline today so I had to show off mine...
Sweeter than any dessert.

Monday, September 26th

Coconut Curry Cabbage on Rice (this was not good, it grosses me out just to post it, worse yet, I had to wait around almost ten minutes for a WF's employee to verify it was vegan, but I keep it real so here it is)
plus some Asian Tofu for lunch.
Kombucha overlow. How often has this happened to you? It happened to me again today, so I thought I'd relate how Mr. SV recently contacted GT's to ask why his Kombucha so often overflows. They responded immediately and explained that Explosive Kombucha indicates the Tea is not as fresh as non-Explosive. I would've thought it would be just the opposite. Anyway, thought someone out there might be interested. For scientific purposes, this was a Botanic #3, not a Spirulina.
Rose heralded the arrival of Field Roast Frankfurters a couple weeks ago and they finally made it to my WF's today. Guess they walked all the way here from Seattle, ha. $5.79 for a package of eight.
Field Roast Franks and Wegman's Kansas City Baked Beans for dinner. These were great, but I need to revisit the Tofurky Franks before I decide on a definitive favorite.
The Franks were substantially bigger and more filling that usual Tofu Dogs, so no dessert tonight. I had a couple bites of an Endangered Species Bar after lunch anyway, so I'm not too deprived.

Hey, Cyber Buds, my favorite Marinara Sauce is Wegman's Mushroom Marinara. What's your's?

Sunday, September 25th

Lunch was Spinach with lots of heavy water-laden toppings from Wegman's Salad Bar. Goddess Dressing and
Fresh Gourmet Croutons added at home.
Wegman's Grilled Tofu with Wild Rice and Chard for dinner.
Well, at least Iran let those two hikers go free.

Saturday, September 24th

Organic Plums for lunch...
Quicky Stroganoff for dinner (Macaroni Dumplings, TJ's Beefless Beef Strips, rehydrated Shitake Mushrooms, Sauteed Onions and a little Sour Supreme).
Mocha Almond Fudge for dessert.
Season premiere of SNL tonight (that's Saturday Night Live to those of you without televisions).

Friday, September 23rd

Lunch was a Veggie Burger & Fries at The Parkway Deli. No pic. I was dying of thirst after this meal, so when I got home I cracked open a bottle of Rob's Really Good Chocolate Tea. Made by the same guy that created Pirate's Booty. It was...wait for it...really good! Future Bill Gates this Rob guy is.
Field Roast Celebration Roast with Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Roasted Butternut Squash for dinner.
A Blueberry Almond Nicobella Truffle for dessert. Got these off Vegan Cuts, as I'm sure many others did.
No exuberant life-affirming links for you guys to watch tonight. You can all keep your noses in your books like the highly evolved intellectuals you are.

Thursday, September 22, 2011

Thursday, September 22nd

Salad with Tofu, Pepitas and Goddess Dressing from WF's...
Morningstar Vegan Grillers and Tater Tots for dinner.
A Sticky Fingers Pecan Cookie for dessert.
DWTS = Dancing With The Stars. If you put your cursor over the 'DWTS' below, you can watch the dance. Readers: Seriously I'm trying to make an effort here! The least you can do is watch the link.

WTF Wednesday

Gardein Crispy Tenders with Heinz-57 for lunch.
Field Roast Classic Meatloaf with Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Baked Potato for dinner.
WF's Apple Pie, the bottom of the pint of Almond Dream Vanilla & a halo of Chocolate Syrup for dessert.
Did everyone get to see Carson Kressley on DWTS? It was awesome!

Tuesday, September 20th

Lunch was from Cafesano. It was a zesty Avocado mix wrapped with (hardly any) Roma Tomatoes, Romaine, Scallions and Kalamata Olives. Hummus and Baked Lavash Chips on the side.
Field Roast Celebration Roast with Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Roasted Acorn Squash for dinner. I got my 'yellow' today!
Mr. SV loved his half but I am not sure if I would buy this one again. Might try a different flavor.
Screw interesting content. I'm hitting the 'publish' button. I wanna go sleepy.

Monday, September 19th

I was stuck in traffic for an extra hour this morning, so I had time to both photograph and eat my breakfast --> a very juicy Pear and a Raw Bar (the bar was strange in that it was sorta oily, but also good in that it killed time).
Some Indian stuff off the hot bar at WF's. This was mediocre. Thankfully, the pups ate a good bit of it for dinner when I got home.
Spaghetti and TJ's Meatless Meatballs for dinner.
A Half Baked Truffle for dessert.
I am several days behind on checking out everyone's blogs, so I hope to catch up on WTF Wednesday. Please don't think me rude. (Ha! Reminds me of Austin Powers! It was not me, it was my food. It just popped up to say 'hello!' and now it's gone back down below!)

Sunday, September 18th

Behind all those Fries (which I ate), is The Ultimate Vegetable Wrap - Hummus, Roasted Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Carrots, Spinach and Shaved Red Onions in a Tortilla Wrap $7.99 enjoyed at The Main Cup.
Field Roast Celebration Roast with Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Steamed Baby Broccoli for dinner.
A Sticky Fingers Brownie with Almond Dream Vanilla for dessert.
So is everyone else just lovin this article? B*tch eats at Pure Food & Wine AND picks up Alec Baldwin at the same time.

Saturday, September 17th

Lunch was at La Mezzaluna Cafe where a big bowl of Salad accompanies every entree...
...as well as a basket of Garlic Knots (made without butter upon request).
$5.95 for an extremely generous (not massive) portion of Penne with Broccoli. Garlic galore. Blessed Mama would be in paradise.
That's it. Too stuffed for dinner or dessert. Yes, always room for (previously Red Wine, but now) Vodka.

Friday, September 16, 2011

Friday, September 16th

Veggie Burrito Bowl from Chipotle for lunch.
Boca Chick'n Patties and Steamed Spinach for dinner.
Turtle Trails for dessert.
No summation issues tonight. I came across this non-vegan link to 100 Pumpkin Recipes that look like they could be easily veganized. It is astonishing to me the talent and imagination that some people have. This recipe in particular would be great for Michelle2. This one for Jessica. I see one I intend to try myself by a chick that graduated from M.I.T.!
