No Vegan Paninis available at Whole Foods today;-(. Instead, there was a Field Roast sub made with Field Roast, Cucumber, Shredded Carrots, Lettuce, Tomato and Hummus.
It was okay, but no Panini! Mr. SV made Burritos for dinner. Black Beans, Refried Beans and Rice on a Whole Wheat Tortilla with Sour Supreme and Salsa Verde....
I never thought I live to say this, but Mr. SV's dinner wasn't that great. The Whole Wheat Wraps or whatever they were made this meal a dud. Hopefully, he wont read this. I had to get the taste out of my mouth and Purely Decadent Cookie Dough Ice Cream was up for the job.
I planned to go to Whole Foods, but when the offer of lunch being brought in was made, I had to take it. This was the Avocado & Kalamata Olive Wrap with some Red Pepper Hummus on the side from Cafesano.
Lunch was from PF Changs - Vegetarian Lettuce Wraps -- Wok-seared Tofu, Red Onions and Water Chestnuts with Mint and Lime. Served with cool Lettuce Cups. (This pic is from my previous lunch there last month).
I was so full from the Lettuce Cups, I brought my order of MaPo Tofu -- Crispy silken Tofu with steamed Broccoli -- home for dinner.
While driving into work today, dreaming of lunch, it suddenly dawned on me that I should stock up on the vegan paninis! Doy! Took me long enough to come up with that idea. So now I have lunch for the weekend too! (I will reuse the plastic baggies. Not eco-friendly of Whole Foods to sell them to me individually wrapped that way).
