Another Paniniless Day

No Vegan Paninis available at Whole Foods today;-(. Instead, there was a Field Roast sub made with Field Roast, Cucumber, Shredded Carrots, Lettuce, Tomato and Hummus.
It was okay, but no Panini!
Mr. SV made Burritos for dinner. Black Beans, Refried Beans and Rice on a Whole Wheat Tortilla with Sour Supreme and Salsa Verde....
I never thought I live to say this, but Mr. SV's dinner wasn't that great. The Whole Wheat Wraps or whatever they were made this meal a dud. Hopefully, he wont read this. I had to get the taste out of my mouth and Purely Decadent Cookie Dough Ice Cream was up for the job.

A Paniniless Day

I planned to go to Whole Foods, but when the offer of lunch being brought in was made, I had to take it. This was the Avocado & Kalamata Olive Wrap with some Red Pepper Hummus on the side from Cafesano.
Dinner was one of Alicia's Cutlets w/Heinz57 and a Baked Yam...

A P.F. Changs Day

Lunch was from PF Changs - Vegetarian Lettuce Wraps -- Wok-seared Tofu, Red Onions and Water Chestnuts with Mint and Lime. Served with cool Lettuce Cups. (This pic is from my previous lunch there last month).
I was so full from the Lettuce Cups, I brought my order of MaPo Tofu -- Crispy silken Tofu with steamed Broccoli -- home for dinner.
Then I had a third of this Chocolate Bar. Very intense and satisfying.
Several glasses of Alice White Merlot. Now there is 20 seconds of your life you'll never get back again! Ha! See you tomorrow!

A Very Boring Post

Lunch was The Seitan Panini. Freakin' awesome as usual.
Dinner was Boca Burgers with TJ's Veggie Chili and Oven Fries.
And another bottle of $3.99 Merlot. I said it was a boring post.

Seitan and Soy Protein -- I Love Thee!

Lunch was off the healthy hot bar at Whole Foods -- Stir-Fried Seitan and some kind of sauteed greens.
Dinner was carryout from Sunflower --'Curry Supreme' (Chunks of Soy Protein served with Broccoli, Potatoes, Mushrooms, Carrots and Green Peas in a special Japanese Curry Sauce).
A bottle of $3.99 Merlot helped soothe the savage beast that is me. What a day!

WFH Wednesday

Lunch was this bag of Smart BBQ that has been in my fridge so long it had a sell by date of 2005.
Purdy ain't it?....It tasted better than it looked, which is not saying much, but I wouldn't buy it again..
Dinner was a head of Romaine Lettuce with TJ's Chickenless Chicken, Fresh Gourmet Croutons, Red Onion and WF's Roasted Red Pepper Hummus.
Dessert was three of these cookies...
Uno! Dos! Tres!
Some Simi Valley to wash it all down with. Obviously, you have not come to a gourmet type website.

Dinner was Vegan Steak w/Heinz 57, Baked Potato w/Sour Supreme and Bac'Uns and Roasted Brussel Sprouts.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

I was proud of my breakfast today, a Pear and a bag of Grapefruit, so I thought I'd show it.
Lunch was this sandwich thing, I don't know if I've mentioned them before;-)
Dinner was Gardein Crispy Tenders with Heinz 57 and a Baked Sweet Potato. Guess what produce item was on sale this week?
And a bottle of Alice White Merlot...I'm really loving the Australian Reds, they seem to guarantee a good buzz.

Lots of Alice White Shiraz was enjoyed as well. See you tomorrow!

Why Aren't I Skinny?

Lunch was one of the paninis I stocked up on yesterday. It heated up great wrapped in foil in the oven.
Dinner was more of the leftover 'beef' Stroganoff with Roasted Asparagus.
Below is an example of the type of noodles I use to make Stroganoff...
Dessert was a heaping tablespoon of Chocolate Peanut Butter...
Lots of Alice White Shiraz was enjoyed as well. See you tomorrow!

Whole Foods & Gardein Enrich My Life

While driving into work today, dreaming of lunch, it suddenly dawned on me that I should stock up on the vegan paninis! Doy! Took me long enough to come up with that idea. So now I have lunch for the weekend too! (I will reuse the plastic baggies. Not eco-friendly of Whole Foods to sell them to me individually wrapped that way).
Dinner was Gardein Chick'n Scallopini along with...
... this bag of Chard. I paid $2.99 for it because it's too much trouble to cut up a bunch of Chard into small pieces.
Served both of the above with Whole Food's Tabouleh. A really light and healthy warm weather meal.
Lots of Frontera Shiraz was enjoyed as well.

Panini and Pasta

I had the Seitan Panini from Whole Foods today. Yay! Doesn't it look beautiful in the proper light? Every bite was sheer bliss.
Mr. SV made his Spaghetti (with Trader Joe's Meatless Meatballs) for dinner...
Then I had one of these Irene's Apricot Tarts that I picked up at Whole Foods.
More of a breakfast food, they aren't that sweet, but really good, like a scone.
Not the most exciting food day, but at least I had my most favorite thing for lunch and my husband made dinner, so that's a win win for me. See you tomorrow!

Plus lots of Frontera Shiraz. I meant to eat new and interesting things today, but turned out, I actually had to work all day and there was no time to prepare.

A Phenomaminemal Food Day

Lunch was a Seitan Panini from Whole Foods. While sitting in traffic on the way back to work, I took a pic of the insides. It may look awful, but OH! how fantastic the sum of its parts do taste!
Also garnered during my Whole Foods expedition: Gardein Stuffed Cutlets:
Is there a primal desire to cut into a food item and have a fatty treat inside ooze out? Deep thoughts....
Cutlet enjoyed tonight with Roasted Cauliflower and Goddess Dressing.
